Oil Portrait Fees Portrait fees for a head and shoulders sized painting (14x18 to 20x24) of one subject start at $3,000. This fee is based on an approximate life-size painting with simple or mottled background. Fees vary according to the size of the painting, the complexity of the background and the number of subjects in the painting. Multiple subjects on the same canvas increase the fee at a discounted rate.

Procedure
This is the procedure that I prefer to follow when possible. These steps are mandatory. Some of the meetings can be combined or eliminated if needed. When travel is necessary, this procedure is usually condensed considerably.
