receives Merit Award
Byron Tracy Snyder's portrait, "Sunday Reflections," received a Merit Award at The Portrait Society of Atlanta's Summer Exhibition at the Marietta-Cobb Museum of Art. The painting was on display at the museum, July 19 - September 23, 2008. To see the show go to www.portraitsocietyofatlanta.org
Byron Tracy Snyder started this painting, a portrait of the artist's wife Jennifer, from a life sitting in 2005. Mr. Snyder says, "This painting began on a quiet Sunday afternoon during 'nap time.' It wasn't long though before our little ones were awake and in Mama's lap. I finished the painting from photos in 2007."
